LabManager SQL POC app for iPhone and iPad

LABMANAGER POC IPAD HOSTED BLOOD GAS MIDDLEWARE FOR LABORATORY AND RESPIRATORY CARE

LabManager POC is Point of Care middleware that connects blood gas analyzers and hospital Information Systems. It is used by RESPIRATORY CARE and BLOOD GAS LABORATORIES.

This software requires the LabManager SQL desktop and server based software to operate. LabManager POC provides an iPad hosted alternative for transmitting patient results between blood gas analyzers and hospital information systems (HIS) electronic medical record (EMR). This system integrates the laboratory order, the ADT demographic record, and the analyzed result. The resulting record is forwarded to the hospitals EMR system via an HL7 interface.

LabManager POC was designed to work with the LabManager SQL workstation application and provides an alternative method of delivering analyzed result to the hospital system. The iPad hardware and application accompanies the analyzer to the bedside.

Configuration provides the ability to manage the information that is collected, displayed and sent to the hospital system. Additional functionality such as reporting, quality assurance and maintenance management are available through LabManager SQL workstation application.

The history of prior analyzed patient results and the quality assurance status are displayed on the LabManager POC application as well as the functionality used to send the result. Pre-programmed menus and click and scroll options make charting easy to perform with a minimum of typing. Accuracy of patient data is improved since the need for written notes are essentially eliminated.
